CSKA Moscow became the first KHL club to suffer 50 defeats against SKA. It took our team 95 matches to achieve this feat.
With a mere 70 seconds remaining in the third period, defenseman Oscar Fantenberg scored the latest ever winning goal for SKA on home ice in regulation time in the Gagarin Cup playoffs. Previously, forward Kirill Marchenko held the club record after he managed to hit the target at 57:42 against Dynamo Moscow in Saint Petersburg last year.
Overall, though, the SKA playoff record belongs to forward Nikita Gusev, who tallied the game-winner against Dinamo Minsk in Belarus this year with only 44 seconds left on the clock in the third frame.
Fellow forward Andrei Kuzmenko has now dished out 100 assists for SKA in the KHL. It has taken him 251 games to achieve this. Andrei is the seventh SKA player to make a minimum of 100 assists in the league, and he has made at least one assist against 23 of the 24 opponents which he has played against for SKA. The exception was Slovan Bratislava.
Fantenberg managed to score his first goal for SKA in his 95th match for our team.
Interestingly, he is the third SKA defenseman to register his first marker for our senior team in the 2021/2022 KHL playoffs, following in the footsteps of Stepan Falkovsky and Georgy Solyannikov.
CSKA forward Andrei Svetlakov scored his first goal against SKA in his 41st game when facing our team. Previously, he had made 13 assists against SKA, with 11 of them having been picked up in the Gagarin Cup playoffs.
