In the concluding match of this road trip, SKA managed to defeat HC Sochi away from home, registering the second consecutive victory in the 2021/2022 KHL regular season.

Joonas Kemppainen opened the scoring in the 38th minute as he expertly tipped Daniil Pylenkov's effort beyond ex-SKA goaltender Magnus Hellberg on the powerplay. In the ensuing third frame, the same player doubled his and the team's tally, converting from the doorstep after receiving an excellent pass from Andrei Kuzmenko.

Solid goalkeeper Lars Johansson stopped all 15 Sochi shots he faced throughout the 60 minutes to earn his second shutout in a row.

SKA will now prepare to host Amur Khabarovsk in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
