Forward Andrei Kuzmenko scored a hat-trick in a KHL regular season game for the first time in his career. Previously, he had tallied three goals in two Gagarin Cup playoff games for CSKA (SKA - CSKA - 4:5 OT) and SKA (SKA - Vityaz - 6:1). Furthermore, Andrei became the first SKA player to bag a hat-trick against Sochi in a competitive match.
Sochi are consequently the 20th KHL club to suffer a hat-trick against them by SKA. Interestingly, Andrei netted SKA's third hat-trick of the 2020/2021 campaign, following in the footsteps of Miro Aaltonen (SKA - Neftekhimik - 5:2) and Emil Galimov (SKA - Avangard - 5:2).
Defenseman Dinar Khafizullin competed in his 368th competitive SKA match, one more than Ilya Kovalchuk. Dinar is now in fourth place of the all-time ranking concerning appearances for SKA in the KHL.
21-year-old forward Vladislav Tsitsyura scored his first SKA goal in his eighth game for our senior team. Just like fellow forward Yakov Trenin, he tallied his maiden marker for the main SKA team in a match against Sochi.
Thanks to forward Joonas Kemppainen's two crucial assists at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi, Finnish players have now earned a grand total of 100 assists for SKA in the KHL. Jarno Koskiranta has made more assists for our club than any other Finn - 47. Below Koskiranta are Kemppainen (17), Jori Lehtera (15), Aaltonen (10), Teemu Ramstedt (6), Mikko Koskinen (4) and Jonus Enlund (1).

25 players over the years have now represented both SKA and Sochi in the KHL. Yesterday, Swedish defenseman Oscar Fantenberg became the first player to register points for and against SKA and Sochi, as he dished out an assist for the opening goal in the second period. Oscar previously scored twice against SKA for Sochi on 16 February 2017 in Saint Petersburg, a game which our team won 6:2.
