For the first time since 2015, SKA managed to defeat HC Torpedo in regulation in Nizhny Novgorod as the team earned an emphatic 4:1 victory.
Jori Lehtera's opener was cancelled out by Torpedo in the first period. However, SKA soon got back in control of proceedings, as Evgeny Ketov and two powerplay goals from Jarno Koskiranta and Maxim Karpov sealed the triumph.
SKA will now prepare to play HC Avangard Omsk on the road.
