In Moscow, SKA earned an important victory against CSKA ahead of the upcoming KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs, defeating the hosts 4:1 in the Russian capital.
Kirill Kaprizov opened the scoring for CSKA at the start of the second stanza. However, just 26 seconds later, Evgeny Ketov stuffed the puck over the line at point blank range.
Jarno Koskiranta and Artyom Zub then scored twice at the end of the frame.
In the third, SKA calmly controlled proceedings, and an empty-netter from Andrei Kuzmenko sealed the deal.
Goalkeeper Alexander Samonov stopped 22 of 23 CSKA shots.
SKA will now prepare for the playoffs, which begin in early March.
