In game two of the 2018/2019 KHL Western Conference, SKA dropped a 1:3 defeat to HC CSKA Moscow, in turn going down 0:2 in the series.
On Thursday, CSKA clinched the first game 2:1, and the Muscovites pulled a 3:1 victory out of the bag in the second match to double their advantage. The series now moves to Saint Petersburg for the next two fixtures.
Kirill Kaprizov and Greg Scott scored at close range to make it 2:0, and after Nikita Gusev pulled one back on the powerplay, Ivan Telegin completed a flowing counterattack to end the match as a contest.
SKA goalkeeper Igor Shestyorkin stopped 17 of 19 shots.
