KHL referee Mikhail Buturlin has died

On the 27th of June, KHL referee Mikhail Buturlin passed away at the age of 39.

Mikhail's father was also a referee, while his brother Alexander played for a few KHL clubs.

Before becoming a referee, Mikhail Buturlin was a player himself. During his playing career, he competed for CSKA, Kristall Elektrostal, Kristall Saratov, Vityaz Moscow Region, Dinamo Minsk, Lada Togliatti, Amur Khabarovsk and Yunost Minsk. Mikhail started refereeing in the KHL from the 2010/2011 season.

SKA Hockey Club extends its deepest condolences to Mikhail's family and friends.
