Defender of the Fatherland Day was marked at Hockey City

On February 23, Defender of the Fatherland Day was celebrated at the Hockey City complex in Saint Petersburg. The event was organised by SKA Hockey Club together with units and divisions of the Western Military District, military educational institutions of Saint Petersburg and the Russian Rugby Federation.

In accordance with traditions, an exhibition of military equipment was staged outdoors. The exhibits were provided by the Mikhailovskaya Artillery Academy, the Military Institute of Physical Culture and units of the Western Military District.

There was also a master class from the Russian Boxing Federation, demonstrations in hand-to-hand combat, a performance from a brass band and entertainment provided by mascots.

The traditional friendly match for the Cup of Courage between Leningrad and the team of the Officers' Hockey League was played at Hockey City's main rink. The latter team emerged victorious by a score of 8:7.

SKA Hockey Club once again congratulates everyone with the Defender of the Fatherland Day!
