In Saint Petersburg, the 13th all-Russian "Hockey Future" conference has started, with the event set to take place until January 15 at the Hockey City complex, the Lesgaft University and the Ice Palace. The topic is "From children's ice hockey to elite sporting level. Training young players and its dependance on the level of coaching" this year.
The "Hockey Academy" is hosting the conference alongside the Lesgaft University, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and IHC SKA Saint Petersburg.
Specialists including the general manager of the Russian national team and HC SKA vice-president Roman Rotenberg, HC SKA general director Andrei Tochitsky, HC SKA deputy general director of training young players Pyotr Vorobyov, director of the VSHT Nikolai Puchkov organisation Leonid Mikhno, coach-methodist Lars Johansson, development coach Daniel Bochner, head coach of the Red Machine Hockey Development Centre Sergei Yakimovich, HC SKA video analyser Nikita Starikov and professors of the Lesgaft University will all make speeches.
On January 14, the conference's participants will attend the 2019/2020 KHL regular season match between SKA and HC Dinamo Riga at the Ice Palace.
