Valery Bragin is the SKA senior coach

Valery Bragin will work as the senior coach in the SKA management group.

As a player, he was a forward for Spartak (1974-1981), Khimik (1981-1989) and Rodovre in Denmark (1989-1994).

He is a two-time winner of the World Junior Championship, a USSR champion (1976) and a Danish champion (1990).

He began his coaching career in 1997. He worked as an assistant to the head coach with Khimik (1997-1999), Atlant (2008-2009) and as the head coach of Spartak (2005-2006) and CSKA (2012). Head coach of Russia U18 between 2003 and 2004. From 2010 to 2012 and from 2014, he is the head coach of Russia U20. Winner of the 2011 World Junior Championship, 2004 World U18 Chanpionship, five-time silver medalist of the World Junior Championship (2005, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2020), two-time bronze medalist of the World Junior Championship (2017, 2018). Joined the senior national team in January 2020.
