The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has decided which players were the best of the past playing week.
SKA forward Vasily Podkolzin has been crowned the best rookie. In three matches, the 18-year-old gained three (2+1) points, with his goal against CSKA in Moscow being his first in the KHL. He picked up a plus/minus rating of +3 and registered eight shots on target, averaging 11 minutes and 21 seconds on the ice.
Nikita Bespalov of Sibir Novosibirsk is the best goaltender, Avangard Omsk representative Cody Franson is the top defenseman and Nikita Mikhailis of Barys is the best forward.
