SKA Hockey Club and Vyacheslav Bykov have come to an agreement which will see this season's Gagarin Cup winning coach leave. Vyacheslav is leaving SKA due to family reasons.
Vyacheslav Bykov is a legendary Soviet ice hockey player and coach, and during his career he won the USSR championship on multiple occasions, became a world champion five times and won the Olympic Games twice. Having taken charge of the Russian national team, he led the team to its first world title for 15 years in 2008 and repeated the feat in 2009. With SKA he immediately took the team to the KHL Gagarin Cup, and he was named the KHL's 2014/2015 top coach,
SKA Hockey Club thanks Vyacheslav for all of his efforts with the club including winning the historic first Gagarin Cup.
