SKA will compete against HC Vityaz Podolsk in the first round of the 2019/2020 KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs.
In the regular season, SKA finished in second place behind CSKA Moscow, while Vityaz claimed seventh spot.
In the two meetings between the clubs, the two sides earned one victory each, with Vityaz winning in regulation time in Saint Petersburg and SKA emerge victorious in a penalty shootout on the road.
The series will begin in Saint Petersburg on the 1st and 3rd of March, before it moves to Podolsk for the next two games on March 5th and 7th. If required, the fifth match will be played in Saint Petersburg, the sixth in Podolsk and the seventh at home for SKA again.
