HC SKA head coach Valeri Bragin:
- It was a very difficult match. We started well, and we managed to score in the first period. However, after we conceded a sloppy goal in the second, the game evened itself up and Vityaz even had the advantage. They're fighting for a spot in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs. We scored our second goal at a vital time.
- What happened to your powerplay today? It had worked in Yekaterinburg against Avtomobilist.
- We did have chances. For example, Anton Burdasov missed the empty net and we couldn't take advantage of rebound opportunities.
HC Vityaz Podolsk head coach Mikhail Kravets:
- It was a good performance from our team, especially in the second and third periods in which we showed a high quality of ice hockey and followed the game plan. It's great that we killed seven penalties. Had it not been for a poor second conceded goal, the result could have been different. We had enough chances in the third frame to equalise and take the lead. We now need to prepare for our next upcoming two home matches.
