SKA Hockey Club have signed a contract with forward Vladislav Kamenev. The contract with the two-time World Junior Championship silver medalist and the KHL Gagarin Cup champion has been signed for two years until the end of the 2021/2022 campaign.
Our club gained the rights to Vladislav after a deal was concluded with Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Traktor Chelyabinsk in June of this year.
Vladislav Kamenev is a forward born on 12 August 1996 in Orsk, Russia. He stands 188 centimeters tall and weighs 88 kilograms. He has played for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Stalnie Lisy and Yuzhniy Ural in Russian leagues, winning the KHL Gagarin Cup. He claimed a silver medal at the 2015 and 2016 World Junior Championships. In the 2015/2016 campaign, Vladislav became a member of the Nashville Predators system in the NHL, before he was traded to Colorado. He made 64 appearances with Colorado in the NHL.
"I really like the look of the Hockey City complex," stated Vladislav after penning his contract. "Everything here is of the highest level. From previous tournaments and clubs, I am familiar with Viktor Antipin, Vasily Glotov and Evgeny Timkin. In terms of my physical shape, I don't feel in optimal form yet, but I have still continued training by myself. Yes, of course I have thoughts about the Olympic Games, but first of all I need to show my talent at club level. I want to be one of the key players again, that wasn't the case in the NHL where I played in the fourth line. I have a target to win the championship with SKA."
