Russian champion with Dynamo Moscow (1993), World Junior Championship silver medalist (1995).

Began his coaching career in 2011 with MHL club Loko.

Worked at Metallurg Mg as an assistant coach (2012-2015) before becoming the head coach between 2015 and 2017.

Assistant coach with the Russian national team since 2015. On 12 April, 2018 he was named the interim head coach.

KHL Gagarin Cup winner as assistant coach (2014), KHL Gagarin Cup winner as head coach (2016).

World Championship silver medalist (2015), World Championship bronze medalist (2016, 2017), Olympic champion (2018) as head coach's assistant.

Has been SKA's individual goalkeeping coach since 2014, winning the 2015 and 2017 KHL Gagarin Cup with the club.

Marko Torenius is responsible for the goalkeepers' individual training.

Teacher at the Pavel Datsyuk Academy, has been a coach since 2004. Denis won the 2017 KHL Gagarin Cup in SKA's coaching staff.
