Maxim Chudinov is a defenceman who started off his professional career with Severstal Cherepovets in 2006. He spent seven seasons with the club. In the 2010 NHL Draft he was picked by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round. For the 2012/2013 season Maxim became a SKA player, and in that same season he became a winner of the Continental Cup and a bronze medalist of the KHL. In 2012 and 2014 he has taken part in the KHL All-Star Game. In season 2014/2015 he won Russian Championship's silver medals and became the Gagatin Cup holder. He also got the Golden Helmet KHL award as the best defenseman of the season. Internationally he has been representing Russia from 2007, where he took part in the World Youth Championship and won it, and in the following year he claimed a silver medal for himself. In 2008 and 2009 he also competed in the World Junior Championship and on both occasions won bronze. Since 2011 Maxim has been playing for the main Russian national team, and in 2014 he became a world champion, and following that he was awarded with the national Medal of Honour. In 2015 he won a World Championship silver medal, and in 2016 he earned bronze.
