Viktor Tikhonov is a forward who is a product of the CSKA Moscow hockey system. He started his professional career off in 2004 with playing for CSKA's reserve team and HC Dmitrov. He made a move to Severstal Cherepovets in 2006, where he spent two seasons. At the 2008 NHL Draft he was picked by the Phoenix Coyotes, and for that 2008/2009 season he stayed and played with the American club. Later on the made appearances for Phoenix's far club the San Antonio Rampage, and in the 2009/2010 season he also played for Severstal and their youth side Almaz. In 2011 Viktor signed a contract with SKA, and so far with the club he was won the Continental Cup, and a bronze medal of the KHL both in 2013. In season 2014/2015 he gained Russian Championship's silver medald and became the Gagarin Cup holder. On the international scene he played at the 2008 World Youth Championship, where he was voted into the team of the tournament and won a bronze medal. After becoming a SKA player Viktor has more regularly been part of the main Russian national team set up. He competed at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, and became a world champion in May 2014. In that World Championship he was the best forward, and was a part of the team of the tournament. After winning that tournament he was awarded with the Russian Medal of Honour. In 2015 got silver medals of the World Championship.
