Marat Khusnutdinov was born on 17 July 2002 in Moscow. At the age of 16, he moved to Saint Petersburg with SKA, subsequently becoming a leading figure for SKA-1946 as he helped the team win the 2019/2020 Russian U21 Championship. With the under 18 Russian national team, the forward has won the Hlinka/Gretzky Memorial Cup and the U17 and U20 World Challenge Cups. Marat claimed a silver medal at the World U18 Championship.
