Vadim Shipachyov is a forward who is a product of Severstal Cherepovets' hockey school. He begun his professional career with Severstal in 2003 and spent ten seasons with the club. He has also represented HC Belgorod. Vadim took part in the 2012 and 2015 KHL All-Star Game, and he became a SKA player for the 2013/2014 season. For the Russian national team he has competed at various Euro Hockey Tour stages, and became a world champion in 2014. In the same year he was awarded with the Russian Medal of Honour. In 2015, he won a World Championship silver medal, and he followed that up in 2016 with a bronze. Vadim was the top scorer of that tournament, and he was included in the top five players of the competition.
